Support BMW AG Purchasing in all Global Sourcing China activities Major Responsibilities * Market screening of the Chinese automotive supplier market. * Compilation and translation (Chinese to English) of all relevant documents. * Follow up the RFQ process regarding schedule and quality of the proposals. * Maintain responsible the supplier database (Establishment and maintenance). * Contacting suppliers. * Organisation of supplier visits. * Back office Management. * Daily correspondence, with supplier and BMW Group. * Filing of correspondence and supplier related documents. * Planning and organizing business trips according schedule. * Contact supplier, import the latest supplier data in the database. * Preparing and performing supplier surveys. * Update the database according the BMW EM-processes. * Organize the database with the analysis application for cost down potentials. * Organize the schedule for the different RFQ activities. Qualifications * University degree in electrical / mechanical / automotive engineering or comparable educational background, economics background. * Ability to work in a team, good communication skills * Chinese not mandatory, intensive knowledge about local mentality and conventions * Chinese and English fluent; knowledge of German is an advantage * User of software like MS-Office, Windows etc Willingness to travel * Experience in automotive industry, purchasing, sales or quality. (at leat 1 years)
